Kansas State University - Master of Architecture, Planning and Design
Matthew grew up in the agriculturally rich center of Hastings, Nebraska and descends from a family of farmers. He attended Kansas State University and obtained his Master of Architecture degree in 2008. Matthew's subject of concentration is in urban studies and planning and a thesis project incorporating Kansas City, Missouri. Since graduating, Matthew has spent time in his hometown, being involved in local downtown organizations in charge of maintaining and developing the district for economically viable environments. His passion for Architecture led him back to Kansas City for exposure into the profession and a path to becoming licensed. Outside the office, Matthew has interests in a prairie connection, yoga, painting, biking, gardening, camping, pets and music. But first and foremost, he's an architect that lives and breathes the designed environment. Eventually Matthew would like to travel to such destinations as India, Greece, Rome and Norway. His favorite architects are Le Corbusier, Renzo Piano and Peter Zumthor.
